This unit uses a High-Density Print Head to make detailed prints with a resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi on documents up to 36″ wide and up to 59′ long. In addition, this unit uses Canon’s L-COA (Large Format Printer Common Architecture). controller prints for fast operation, and has an Economy mode to save ink. Along with these printing capabilities, this multi-function printer is equipped with the M40 scanner, a 42″ wide model that offers high-quality, large format scanning of documents using an optical resolution of 1200 dpi. This setting provides a total scan area that is 40″ wide and can work with documents up to 590″ long when using the TIFF format. Ensuring color accuracy and print durability is the five-color dye or pigment Reactive Ink set. The Canon imagePROGRAF iPF785 MFP M40 also uses a sub-ink tank system which ensures all available ink is used before changing cartridges and allows cartridge replacement without stopping the printer for long print jobs. This printer is also equipped with a 320GB hard drive and 32GB RAM for smooth operation when working with large files. Bundled with the printer is a variety of software to monitor your printer’s status and increase productivity. Among the software included are multiple status monitors, plug-ins for Microsoft Office, modules optimized for AutoCAD, and PosterArtist Lite. SmartWorks MFP Software is bundled here as well, offering powerful tools for printing, scanning, and sharing large technical documents. Apart from that, it has USB 2.0 and Ethernet connectivity options.
