The Canon PIXMA PRO-1 Professional Inkjet Photo Printer is a printer for working professional photographers. Targeted at users of DSLR cameras such as the Canon EOS 60D, 7D and 1D, this printer offers 12 pigment-based inks/colours from the LUCIA family in 12 channels, including 5 monochrome inks to expand the color gamut in dark areas: Matte Black, Photo Black, Dark Gray , Gray and Light Grey. In addition to these monochrome colors, this printer offers Cyan, Photo Cyan, Magenta, Photo Magenta, Yellow, Red and a special Chroma Optimizer. The latter provides a clear coat that enhances the uniform shine of the paper and also broadens the color gamut. The optimizer also increases black density for truer, richer blacks. This ink system provides smooth gradations, restrained grain, and an anti-bronzing effect for increased clarity and color fidelity. Enjoy professional-quality color and grayscale prints. The super quiet printer also offers capacity for direct CD and DVD printing. ICC profiles are available to ensure the contrast range and color saturation look the same across different paper types. This profile will provide a color-managed workflow and help ensure your prints look like the image on your camera’s monitor. The Canon PIXMA PRO-1 printer is equipped with 10/100 Ethernet connectivity, a USB 2.0 port, and a PictBridge port that allows you to print directly from compatible cameras.
